Het Noorse merk SWIMS werd opgericht door Johan Ringdal in 2005 met de lancering van de kleurrijke kenmerkende overschoenen, ook wel Galoshes genoemd.

De relaunch van deze klassieke overschoen bleek een groot succes, vandaag de dag wordt SWIMS verkocht in meer dan 30 landen en meer dan 800 high-end winkels als: Neiman Marcus, Scoop and Brooks Brothers in Amerika, Isetan in Japan, Harrods en Selfridges in Engeland en Le Bon Marché en Colette in Frankrijk.

Inmiddels omvat de SWIMS collectie naast de welbekende overschoenen en loafers o.a.; jacks, zwembroeken, tassen, paraplu’s en schoenen – stijlen gebaseerd op krachtige klassieke modellen, gemaakt van moderne en onverwachte materialen. Nostalgisch met een twist.
